BARTENDER/FRONT-OF-HOUSE STAFF - PART/FULL TIME

At Untold, Every Beer Has A Story™ and we want you to be part of it. We are seeking an energetic, smart, and positive person to join our front-of-house team. The role of Bartender/Front-Of-House Person is an integral role in our retail operations including providing exceptional customer service, serving at the bar, and working quickly and professionally while maintaining an awesome demeanor. Expected hours per week is 28-32 hours.

Job Responsibilities

• Greet all customers with enthusiasm and friendliness

• Engage with guests as appropriate and provide quick and attentive service

• Process payments using the POS system; take payment and make change accurately

• Work as a team with all Untold Brewing personnel; be willing to assist all team members to maintain high quality and efficient service

• Be proactive about keeping the brewery workspace and the taproom area clean

• Maintain a detailed knowledge of Untold beers and other beer styles (in-house training provided)

• Check identification of beer drinkers to verify they are of legal drinking age; identify signs indicating intoxication and/or other concerning factors

• Comply with all health, safety, and hygiene standards and policies

General Job Requirements:

• Must be 21+

• Weekend/nighttime availability and scheduling flexibility is required

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Desired Skills and Attributes:

• Prior experience in restaurant, bar, or hospitality environment

• Effective communication skills and efficient decision-making in occasionally stressful situations

• Punctuality

• Amiable personality and confidence interacting with people

• Strong work ethic and a willingness to support other departments as necessary

• TIPS, ServeSafe and/or CPR/ChokeSafe certification highly desired

PRODUCTION/PACKAGING TECH - PART-TIME

Untold Brewing is a growing, independently owned craft brewery in Scituate, MA. Established in the Fall of 2017, we specialize in producing clean, high-quality ales and lagers that reflect the seasons, our history, and the South Shore community that we call home. 

At Untold, Every Beer Has a Story™ and we want you to be part of it. We are seeking an energetic, smart, and positive person to join our Production Team. The Packaging Tech position does not require previous brewing experience; however, candidates should have a genuine love of craft beer and be willing/able to take instruction and coaching from our Team. 

Job Responsibilities

• Work with the Production Team to perform necessary packaging operations including filling (kegs and cans), keg wash operation, and exterior cleaning.

• Ensure product quality from brite tank to keg/can.

• Maintain inventory of clean cooperage (kegs).

• Perform ongoing cooler inventory management and product rotation.

• Ensure the production area is clean and organized at all times.

• Assist in fermentation monitoring and cellar operations, including dry hopping, yeast harvests, and transfers.

• Contribute to Untold’s overall mission and focus on quality, innovation, and sustainability.

Desired Skills and Attributes:

• No commercial brewing experience required, but brewery experience is preferred.

• Ability to multitask, follow operational procedures, and work independently.

• A passion for craft beer.

• Attention to detail and strong communication in all areas.

• Team player with willingness to collaborate and work well with others to achieve team goals.

• Schedule flexibility including the ability to work occasional weekend day if necessary.

• Ability to stand for 6-10 hours/day.

• Ability to lift objects greater than 60 LBS.

• Fork Lift, Pallet Jack operations (Certification preferred).

• Familiarity with canning line operations (Wild Goose preferred) is preferred.
